Marilyn Blodget

arilyn Blodget began her musical career as a classical pianist, and spent many happy hours accompanying her father on the violin. She was introduced to the poetry of the classical guitar by listening to Andres Segovia, and studied with David White, Rob Phelps, Peter Madlem, Turan Kamal and Guy Horn. She participated in numerous master classes with Manuel Barrueco, Michael Lorimer and William Kanengiser, among others.

   Marilyn taught guitar at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo from 1984-94. She plays with the New World Baroque Orchestra and has performed at many missions, museums and universities.

   She also is a Montessori teacher trainer and has given numerous workshops throughout the United States, the South Pacific, Malaysia and Singapore. She has three wonderful children and six grandchildren.
